Fairmont, West Virginia

Add another new state to the list for all of us. West Virginia is beautiful! Lush green rolling hills cris-crossed by rivers and streams. We were on the interstate for most of our drive through and it was gorgeous. It must be breath taking in the fall! We are enjoying the variety of trees and greenery despite all the rain. We were able to squeeze in a quick game of Coal Miner mini-golf before the storm caught up and we found one of the local places for ice cream. We stopped for the night in Fairmont, WV and had to be creative to find indoor activities. We saw a sign for Worlds of Fun family fun center. It's an indoor carnival complete with midway and rides as well as an arcade, laser tag, and bowling. The girls had the place all to themselves and the college-age crew moved from ride to ride as the girls decided what to do next. It was a fun way to spend a few rainy hours and run after so many miles in the car. We are moving on to Maryland, then Pennsylvania today. We will be happy to get to Grandma Elaine and Grandpa Ed's and settle in for a few days!
