The Land of Lincoln, Illinois

It's hard to get perspective on how far west and rural this was when Lincoln became president. We feel like we have entered dense population compared to where we have been. We are still on highway 50 so there are stretches of corn fields and trees, but then we come upon a Walmart and a Sonic. It is very green and it's getting more humid as we travel further east and much closer to sea level. 

According to our meteorologist (Sam) it is rainy today.
