Salt in Hutchinson, Kansas

We are in the Kansas salt mine. We saw lots and lots of cool things!! We saw lots and lots of salt. We took an elevator to get down here. 650' underground. We are going on the dark ride. It is cool in the mine. 68 degrees all the time. We wonder what the weather will be like when we get back up.

    The gloves in the bottom photo have two thumbs. The miners wear them until the glove is worn through on one side and then wear it out on the other side. So clever!
